……..signs MoU to revitalise JCI collegiate chapter in the institution

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Alhaji Sani Usman, has been conferred with the prestigious Human Duties Ambassador Award by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria, through its local chapter, JCI Bauchi City.
The award, presented by JCI Bauchi City’s 2025 President, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, recognizes the Rector’s outstanding commitment to humanity, education, and transformative leadership.

Tajudeen said Alhaji Usman’s dedication to public service, advocacy, philanthropy, youth development, and community advancement has earned him this esteemed recognition.
In a significant development, the award ceremony coincided with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between JCI Bauchi City and the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, aimed at revitalizing the JCI collegiate chapter in the institution.
JCI Bauchi City President said The MoU will set the framework for reactivating the chapter, which had been dormant for several years, and aims to empower students through structured leadership training, entrepreneurship development, community engagement, and global exposure.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone in our efforts to build a future where young people are empowered to lead with purpose and make lasting impacts in their communities. We are proud to recognize the Rector as a Human Duties Ambassador whose life and leadership have embodied the core principles of service to humanity, dignity, and sustainability”, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo stated.
Speaking on behalf of the Polytechnic management, Alhaji Mohammed Rabiu Wada, mnipr, Director of Public Relations, expressed appreciation to JCI for the honour bestowed on the Rector and the collaborative efforts to reawaken student engagement.

Our correspondent reports that the partnership between JCI Bauchi City and FPTB is expected to further empower youth development and community engagement initiatives in the polytechnic, leveraging the strengths of both organizations.
