The Bauchi State Zero Dose Learning Hub Community of Practice (CoP), with support from the African Health Budget Network (AHBN), has carried out a joint oversight with the State House of Assembly to assess immunization services in Ganjuwa LGA.
The visit, led by the Assembly Committee Chairmen on Health, Lawal Dauda, that of Appropriation Mohammed Wanzam, and Nutrition Ahmed Maikudi inspected solar-powered cold chain equipment, record harmonization, financial management under the BHCPF, sanitation, and 2025 work plans at selected facilities.
The team noted improved infrastructure and service delivery, including additional cold chain equipment attributed to the CoP advocacy.

They, however, called for stronger cross-border synchronization when planning immunization activities with Jigawa and Gombe states, provision of motorcycles and logistics for supervisors, and absorption of trained volunteers.
African Health Budget Network (AHBN ) State Focal Person, Dr. Hassan Shuaibu Musa, commended the Assembly for ensuring the release of the ₦872 million 2025 immunization budget and conveyed the appreciation of the network’s national leadership.
